HMD Global Launches Much Awaited Nokia 6 (2018)
HMD Global is expected to refresh the mid level Nokia 6 phone in China today. The original Nokia 6 made its debut in China so HMD deciding to take the wraps off its successor in the same country isn’t surprising.
The Nokia 6 second generation comes with an improved design and upgraded specifications.

Mass: 172 g
Screen: 5.5-inch, 1080*1920 pixels, 2.5 D Gorilla Glass 3
Processor: Snapdragon 630 (Octa core, 4*2.2 GHz+4*1.9 GHz

Internal memory: 32/64 GB eMMC5.1, micro SD up to 128 GB

It also has a headphone jack. Compared to Nokia 6 first generation, the Nokia 6 second generation drops the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for a single speaker.
The Nokia 6 2018, however, isn’t supposed to be a drastic revamp of the original Nokia 6. It would still be interesting to see what HMD has in store.
PS: A Chinese retailer Suning posted a listing for the device early, and let us in on what can be expected out of the launch.
The smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch 1080 display and a 16.9 aspect ratio. It will come with an octa core Snapdragon 630 processor, an Adreno 508 GPU, and 4 GB of RAM. The device will come with either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage that can be expended via micro SD card by another 128 GB.
The device will come with Nokia’s Bothie feature. The Bothie mode will activate both the front and rear cameras to capture photo and video. To beef up its video capabilities, Nokia is also including OZO Audio recording.
Not to miss the fingerprint scanner, which is just under the rear camera. This is a change from the 2017 Nokia 6 that had its scanner on the front of the device. The 3,000 mAh battery will be recharged via a micro USB port on the bottom of the phone.
The device will work on Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is now two versions behind the current version of Android. Therefore, Nokia is pushing for Android 8.0 Oreo to some of its other devices and is likely to update this device soon.
Right before the official launch, few images of the device were leaked online which created a lot of Buzz among gadget lovers! Nokia 6 is expected to feature a reduced and a bezel less display. The size of the screen will be small and will be of 16.9 aspect ratio. Nokia 6’s leaked picture shows no physical touch buttons and the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear of the device.
It will come in either black with gold accents or white with red accents. Although it does not seem to be a huge upgrade from the Nokia 6 (2017), but a competitive price may add value to it.
