Saif Ali Khan (Sajid Ali Khan) is an Indian film actor and producer. The son of actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Early Life and Background
Saif Ali Khan was born 16 August 1970 in New Delhi, India to Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, a former captain of the Indian National Cricket Team, and his wife Sharmila Tagore a film actress. From 1952 to 1971 Pataudi held the title of Nawab of Pataudi. Khan has two younger sisters Saba Ali Khan and Actress Soha Ali Khan. Upon graduating, he worked for an advertising film in Delhi for two months. He later appeared in the television commercial on the insistence of a family friend, and was subsequently cast by director Anand Mahindroo.
In 1991, Saif was cast as the male lead in Rahul Rawail’s romantic film ‘Bekhudi’ 1992 alongside debutant Kajol, but after completing the first shooting schedule of the film, he was considered to be unprofessional by Rawail and was replaced Kamal Sadanah. While filming ‘Bekhudi’ Saif met actress Amrita Singh who he married in October 1991. Amrita Gave birth to their daughter Sara and son Ibrahim in 1993 and 2001 respectively, and the couple later separated in 2004.

At the year of 2001, Saif appeared in comedy film Dil Chahta Hai, and romantic film Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main. In 2002, Na Tum Jano Na Hum, Darna Mana Hai 2003, In the year 2004 he appeared in Nikhil Advani’s film Kal Ho Na Ho with Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. This film was a blockbuster movie.
